The Role

We are hiring a Field Service Technician to provide hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair support for TRUMPF laser cutting, punching, bending, combination, and welding equipment within a defined regional territory. This role is highly technical and field-focused, involving machine installations, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and on-site troubleshooting to keep customer production running at peak performance. Travel is territory-based rather than national, allowing technicians to build strong customer relationships while maintaining a sustainable schedule. Maintecx provides a company vehicle, tools, training, and direct support from TRUMPF, making this an excellent opportunity for a technically driven service professional who wants autonomy, stability, and pride in delivering best-in-class service.

What You’ll Do 

  • Install and demonstrate TRUMPF CNC laser cutting, punching, and bending equipment. 

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize machine downtime. 

  • Train customers on proper machine operation and basic maintenance practices. 

  • Travel regularly to customer locations in your assigned territory. 

  • Maintain service documentation, ensure accurate reporting, and uphold quality standards. 

  • Stay current with ongoing training and product updates provided by TRUMPF and Maintecx. 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Punch/Combo/Bending experience

  • Wisconsin Based - Preferred

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. 

  • Minimum 2-year degree in Electronics, Mechanics, Mechatronics, or related field experience (equivalent military/technical experience). 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Able to lift 60 lbs and perform hands-on work in field environments. 

  • Comfortable traveling regularly (including overnight stays). 

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
